The main focus of PROEXO is on the production and commercialization of specialty coffee certified under international quality standards. Therefore, the implementation of environmentally friendly good agricultural practices and human welfare is required. This aims to improve productivity and conserve existing ecosystems in the plots. Among the environmental projects managed are crop diversification with the implementation of avocado in coffee farms, the production of organic fertilizers for agriculture such as vermicompost, composting, and bioferments, the establishment of forest nurseries to strengthen conservation areas and forests in coffee-growing communities, coordination with municipal environmental units in reforestation projects and micro-watershed conservation, as well as the provision of basic tools for farm maintenance, pumps for preventive applications of rust diseases, fertilization, and moisture meters to improve the coordination processes of coffee quality at the collection center for commercialization processes that promote fair prices for our producers' production.
